How much difference do the physical surroundings make in the experience of a hospice patient? Join Dr. Karen Wyatt and her guest Feng Shui expert Shelley Sparks for a conversation about the ancient art of Feng Shui. They will discuss how simple changes in a patient's room might affect his or her well-being at the end-of-life.

You will learn:

  • the basic principles of Feng Shui and how to apply them to a modern hospice environment
  • tips for placement of the bed in a hospice room
  • the use of color and lighting in hospice settings
  • the importance of organizing and managing clutter in a patient's room

Shelley Sparks is a Feng Shui expert who has been teaching and practicing the principles of Feng Shui for more than twenty years. She is a senior deisciple of His Holiness Grandmaster Lin Yun Rinpoche, leader of the Black Sect Tantric Buddhist school of Feng Shui. This school applies the traditional Chinese wisdom to the needs of modern life. Shelley was drawn to Feng Shui because she wanted to extent the harmomy, healing and holistic qualities that she creates in gardens as a Landscape Architect to her clients' homes and businesses.

She is available for lectures, workshops and private consultations. Her book Secrets of the Land: Designing Harmonious Gardens with Feng Shui is available through Amazon. She can be reached through her website and on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Linked In.
