Join Dr. Karen Wyatt and her guest Carol Jones for this inspiring and heart-opening interview as they discuss the life and death of Carol's late husband Ken. Carol will share Ken's spiritual experiences as his illness progressed, as well as her own encounter with grief and loss, as chronicled in the book they both contributed to "Through Kenny's Eyes."
In this interview you will learn:
- an inside look at the patient and caregiver journey through terminal illness
- how Ken managed to find joy and excitement within the dying process
- why grief can be a transformational experience when embraced as an act of sacred service
- how Carol continues to be inspired by Ken's love and messages to her
As ministers and initiates in the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), Ken and Carol Jones studied for several decades the principles of living with a spiritual focus. Married in 1996 when Ken was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in 2009, their lives changed irrevocably. He began chronicling his spiritual experiences as his illness progressed and she continued writing about her experiences caring for him and the new awarenesses that flooded through her consciousness after he passed into Spirit.
Having written many courses for MSIA's seminary and facilitated them herself, Carol is now laying the groundwork for a new course focusing on "Joyful Transitions." This course will teach how to experience death as a soul journey into God's arms, exploring the perspective of the loved one who is dying and the loved ones left to grieve. Results are aimed at all involved gaining the most spiritual learning possible from the experience of losing a loved one.
Carol resides in Los Angeles at the headquarters of MSIA, where she has lived and worked on the staff of the church and seminary for thirty-two years. Ken resides in her heart.
