Through the Camera Lens: Right, before I die

Los Angeles photographer Andrew George brought his camera to the Providence Holy Cross Hospital Palliative Care Unit to photograph terminally ill patients and gather their stories. In this presentation he will share slides of his evocative photo series that has been exhibited in Belgium, San Francisco and Los Angeles. We'll hear the end-of-life journey of each patient and how Andrew has been inspired by this work.

SPEAKER BIO:

Photographer Andrew George is based in Los Angeles. His work has been in 17 international exhibitions and recently shown in Bulgaria and Australia. Andrew has won numerous awards for his photography and his work has appeared in the pages of Le Journal de la Photographie, Art Ltd., The San Francisco Chronicle, Tiny Vices, SuperMassiveBlackHole, Booooooom and Corridor8, among others. His photographs are in 85 public and private collections.
