Caleb Wilde is a sixth generation funeral director and embalmer in Pennsylvania. He has a graduate degree in Theology from Biblical Seminary, a Certificate in Thanatology from The Association for Death Education and Counseling, and is working on post grad degree in the Death, Religion and Culture program at Winchester University.

He writes the extremely popular blog “Confessions of a Funeral Director” at and has garnered national attention for his candid, heartfelt and sometimes humorous writing about death and the funeral industry. He has been featured on ABC's 20/20, NBC News, TIME Magazine, The Philadelphia Daily News, Religion News Service, and the Washington Post. In addition he has appeared on the Drew Marshall Show and New York Public Radio.

He recently started, an online forum for the public to share their own stories about death and dying and is also co-hosting a podcast: The Story of My Death. He is currently writing a book, "Confessions of a Funeral Director: Working at the Crossroads of This World and the Next."
